Super Visa

A super visa is a type of visitor visa/ TRV which lets parents or grandparents to visit their child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident for up to 2 years on initial entry to Canada. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years.

To be eligible for a super visa:

• You must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada

• Your child or grandchild must provide a letter of invitation that details the living arrangement, commitment of financial support for the duration of your stay, number of family members and etc.

• Your child or grandchild must also meet a minimum income threshold based on the low-income cut-off (LICO)

• You need to purchase a medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company. This medical insurance must be valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry and has at least $100,000 coverage.

• You need to take an immigration medical exam
