Start-up visa (SUV)

The purpose of Canada’s Start-up Visa Program is to attract immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential integrate into the economy by:

• Brining in innovative ideas and technology

• creating jobs for Canadians

• establishing business that can compete on a global scale

Unlike the Investor programs, SUV applicants are not required to invest their own money as long as they have business idea and commitment of investment from one of a designated Venture Capital funds or Angel Investors or business incubators.

Qualified applicants including:

1. those who intends to operate business in Canada

2. those who Receive conditional commitment from one or more designated organizations:

   1. Angel investor

   2. Venture capital

   3. Business incubator

3. Those who meets requirements for applicants in this class (language, and settlement funds) and admissible to Canada
