Open work Permit for Hong Kong recent graduates

This open work permit is specifically offering to students and youth from Hong Kong. The open work permit under this public policy is valid for a period of up to 3 years. After accumulating 1 year of work experience in Canada within the validity of the open work permit and meeting other requirements like language or education, candidates can apply for permanent residency through a dedicated pathway.

To be eligible for this open work permit, a candidate must:

• Have a valid Hong Kong (HKSAR) passport or the United Kingdom to a British National Overseas (BNO) passport

• Have obtained a degree or a diploma from a designated Canadian or foreign post-secondary institution 5 years immediately preceding the submission of application.

Applicants can bring their family members with them and an open work permit may be issued to their eligible family members.
